I managed to fish a venue today that has been on my bucket list of launch sites for a while.
Chesil beach is notorious for big swell dump and steep beaches it takes almost perfect conditions just to attempt to launch.
Today was almost the perfect day with next to no wind and flat calm however there was still the odd shore dump you just had to time it right.
I met up with some of the Welsh kayak anglers and we headed out at around 08:00am.
The bite was on almost all day with constant dogfish and whiting. On a couple occasions both at the same time on a two hook running ledger.
In between was also the occasional Strap conger but the best catch was some cracking Thornbacks.
Great to finally launch off Chesil it's a cracking venue and I'll be back to bag one of those big bad boy cod one day hopefully.

Hi Robo, great article! i would love to come along one day if you go back?
